I am very happy to say, that we have been doing more home cooking rather then eating out. In addition, I let my girls help out in the kitchen and with adult supervision, allow them to use the oven and stove. Of course since they are still young, (7 and 12) I only let them use the best. When I had the opportunity to try a green pan that is non stick and earth friendly, I knew this would be a great opportunity for the girls.

Ozeri Non Stick Ceramic Chemical Free Green Frying Pan

With all the holidays comming so fast now, my girls did most of the testing using the Ozeri Non Stick Ceramic Chemical Free Green Frying Pan over the weekend. Since we received the 7 inch pan, Big C. decided it was the prefect size for breakfast foods and so it was to be.

Big C. decided to try making scrambled eggs. Might I tell you, she is a pro at making eggs. She manages to spice them to perfection. They come out with the right amount of fluffiness to them.

Eggs and Secret Spices

She started out with her eggs and her secret combo of spices. Let me tell you, what ever she puts in them, it works. Anyway after beat the eggs it was time to bring them to the frying pan.

Frying the Eggs

We waited for the pan to heat up before pouring the eggs into the pan. When the pan was ready, Big C. poured the eggs into the frying pan.

I was very sad by the results. Big C. is amazing at making eggs but this just did not work well in the Ozeri Non Stick Ceramic Chemical Free Green Frying Pan. For some reason, it stuck all over the place. I will not even show you the finished product but it was unappetizing. The eggs ended up crumbling and it was not pleasant.

As for the pan, well it did clean easily but there were eggs all over the place. I have to say more eggs left in the pan then on the pate.

Now I have made bad eggs in the past but nothing like this. I was ready to give up on this pan but Little E. really wanted a turn.

Little E.

Little E. wanted to go with something more daring. We had some left over home made Ciabatta Bread that she wanted to use so we made Ciabatta Egg Bread.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

2 eggs
4 pieces ciabatta bread
1 tablespoon coconut milk
1 pinch garlic
1 pinch black pepper

in a bowl beat the eggs. Add coconut milk, garlic and pepper. Keep beating until well mixed.

Since the Ciabatta bread is dry, cut a nice thick piece and place in liquid for 5-10 min. Turn over and let sit another 5-10 min. You are basically letting the bread soak up the eggs adding moisture and yummy breakfast flavors.

Frying in Pan

The next part is simple just place in pan and leave unit lightly golden brown. Flip and cook until ready.

For the bread and eggs, well lets just say they not only looked amazing, but they tested amazing. The frying pan was truly non stick and clean up was a breeze.

Pros:

non-steak
little to no clean up
great for kids to help in the kitchen

Cons:

did not work well with scrambled eggs

Respect the Pan:

A little thing I learned along the way was to respect the pan. As a child I always though all pans were the same but as an adult i know better. For this ceramic pan, use silicone cook wear and wash it only after it cools. The better you treat your cook wear, the longer it will last.

Bottom Line:

While the Ozeri Non Stick Ceramic Chemical Free Green Frying Pan did not make a good scrambled eggs, so far it worked well for everything else. Little E. had fun with her bread and eggs and I tok some time to make an omelet. Yes everything was evenly cooked and nothing burned. I was very impressed with this pan. It will not only make my cooking life easier, but it will allow my girls to help out in the kitchen without having to worry to much.
